Callum Pitt who is one of the North East's rising talent has released his highly anticpated album 'In The Balance' on June 2nd.
The album reminds me of a story and how it is told from the musicians experiences with up to three years work of work, which he wrote whilst working a job and studying for his Masters Degree in Ocupational Therapy.
The album consists of stories of the musicians life such as a vehicle incident which nearly killed his parents and brothers and were the inspiration for his song 'Fraction for a second' and has an eery taste of what could of been.
One of my favourite songs from the album, is Black Hole in the Sky as the song reminds me of a nostaglic folklore song. The song is to do with Callum's experience with amost losing his friend too suicide and was saved by a passer-by. You can tell that throughout this that the lyrics are scarily beautiful and although, the dark roots with this song their is almost something so beautiful with this song that leaves me with a calm feeling.
