2025 has been a blast, right? We have been interviewed tons of different artists, reviewed a show, started a podcast and added our music photographer/writer to the team! How amazing!
We started the year sharing the rest of our The Indie Files posts from my dissertation which I wanted to share and I am super proud with how that series went on the blog. It made my blog be able to grew and share different aspects of the music industry which I am hoping to grow Odd Girl Out into, as let's be real sometimes behind the scenes of the music industry can be more interesting too?
The podcast started in the Summer and I shared a few episodes trying to figure it all out and that is something I am super proud of. I am not a tech-girl and it takes me ages to figure out new things (yep...undiagnosed ADHD) but I am super proud of how that podcast has started and I am excited to better it for sure in 2026 and learn new things through it!
Our music photographer Kay joined the team, Kay is a super talent music photographer and writer and she has brought so much to Odd Girl Out! Her connections with bands, her ideas for the blog and just her super unique energy to the team and one we cannot wait to see succeed more in 2026!
Then to end the year we did our virtual festival 'The Odd Girl Out fest' and I am super proud of what that was. It was rushed, it was a bit all over the place but I would rather do something than not do something right? I am also going to be doing a little series of that in the New Year so watch out for that.
And to add, all the amazing interviews and reviews we have done in 2025...we have posted every week I think? Maybe missing one (I can not remember).
We are nearly at 25k views and Odd Girl Out is still growing. Let's see what this year will bring?
