5 Questions with Pentire

Monday, 12 May 2025

A few weeks ago we sat down with Pentire to discuss their plans for the autumn and who their favourite artist is, and this is what they said...

1.What made you get into music?

We’ve always been into music. I (Jack) learnt to play guitar at 9 years old, and Owen at aged 7. Jake and Jacob are a similar story, and we never looked back from there.

2.What are your plans for 2025?

We’ve got our Have You Had Enough UK Tour in November where we're going around to slighty smaller cities where bands don't usually tour, and it's nice to do our bit to help support the grassroots venues! So yeah, lots of shows, festivals, and maybe some new music. Keeping busy!

3. What has been your favourite gig you have performed?

Oooof that's tricky. Gotta be the first time we sold out Thekla. Walking out to see all those people in our home town including our families was pretty special.

4. What is the inspiration behind your music?

Lots of stuff. From stuff like Foo Fighters, Stereophonics, and AC/DC down to Nina Simone and Paolo Nutini.

5. Who are your favourite up-and-coming artists?

Great question! At the moment we're listening to World News, they're great. The Kites are a both friends and favourites. Sametime are also sick - and two of the nicest guys ever. It varies all the time, but most of our playlists are up and coming artists tbf!
