Organising a festival, especially one that is held in three venues and in the dead of winter demands such determination and a motivated team. After the launch of Coast Fest in July 2023, the organisers decided to come back with the launch of Coastal Crawl set in Three Tanners Bank, The Engine Room and, Salt Engine Social on February 17th.

Paul Smith from Maximo Park, Tom A. Smith, Megan Wyn , and Lizzie Esau headlined the event. At 10 pm Paul Smith graced the stage at Salt Market Social to perform a melody of his hits. With Lizzie Esau, Tom A.Smith and, Megan Wyn taking the stage at other venues.

For those who are acquainted with the North East music scene, the remaining line up throughout the day was a variety of talent from the whole region. At the Engine Room rock band Snakes with Tits were the first to hit Coastal Crawl off with a variety of hits from 12:40pm to 1:30pm with the small packed room filled with people who had been following the band to those who had just heard the band's music for the first time. In Three Tanners Bank at 1:30pm Scrannabis performed popular hits from Ghost to Glue.

Hels Pattison who performed at Coastal Crawl said: "There has been an excited hum around the day that felt really special seeing such a great turnout and that people had actively made the time to catch my set was really humbling and gave us all good such energy."
