In the new year there are always talk about new music and new artists that will become huge this year. We’ve seen this in 2022 which new names becoming forces in the industry that we would not have even batted an eyelash at in 2021. The same goes for 2023 as BBC music has given us a list of ten upcoming artists that have the potential to make it in the industry this year. This indie rock band formed in 2022 has already set their foot in the door through 3 single releases. Because of this, they have headlined the BBC Introducing Stage at Waves Festival Sunderland. They continue to work to dominated 2023 with more single releases and festival lineups.
Tom A. Smith
This 18-year-old singer songwriter has already had a great start in the industry from support Elton John, playing the Leeds Festival, and writing music with Miles Kane. He is set for 2023 with plans to write more music and enter more festival slots!

This rock metal band has had frequent BBC Radio 1 play due to their summer single Side by Side. They plan to achieve more frequent play in 2023 through live shows and an EP release.

This indie singer-songwriter already has released a variety of singles like Nineteen and Hypnotised. She plans to release an EP in 2023 and play live shows that she already has set.
Lauren Amour
This pop singer is the final artist in BBC’s top 10. She already has received awards for her music and has achieved TikTok popularity. She plans to continue this popularity by releasing new singles throughout 2023.
