5 Questions with Bank Holiday

Saturday, 6 June 2026

Last week we sat down with Bank Holiday to discuss plans for the rest of 2026 and which artist they are loving, this is what they said...

1. What made you want to get into music?
I was massively inspired by Michael Jackson as a young kid, he was the first artist I was introduced to by my mum and sort of found my love for music there. A few years on from that my grandparents bought me a Yamaha keyboard and some piano lessons and I fell in love with it and started to teach myself how to sing and it all just went from there.

2. What are your plans for 2026?
We’ve just sold out our first headline at gullivers in under 2 days. That’s on 13th June. We’ve got another headline booked off the back of that, but not announced yet. We’ve also got our debut single ‘Out of the Blue’ coming out 27th may, and lots more lined up. Otherwise, we’re just taking everything else as it comes.

3.  What has been the highlight of your career so far?
The highlight of my career so far was to be able to support Jamie Webster on a few dates on his ‘we get by’ acoustic tour. It was a really full circle moment as I spent my teenage years listening to a lot of his music. Absolutely class fella and the crowds were unreal.

4. Who are your inspirations music wise?
Music wise, I’d say a lot of my current inspiration comes from people like yungblud and 1975 mainly, but I’d also say there’s elements of other Manchester artists & bands in there definitely.

5. Which artist/band are you loving at the moment?
My favourite upcoming bands at the minute are Tom Collins and The Lags. Very good pals of mine, they’ve got some absolutely slammers out already on streaming platforms and I really think they’ve got some of the strongest songs around at the moment. 5. Tell us, who is your favourite upcoming  band/artist you hope others check out.
