Maisie Peters released her highly anticipated third album Florescence on 22nd May, and wow...she did not disappoint with this album.
This new era of Peters' is mature and screams her embracing her life now, her flaws and everything that comes up being a young woman in the music industry. It also describes her experience of falling in love, and sounds like Peters' most vulnerable album compared to her previous music.
The song that stands out to me, is the first one on the album, Mary Janes, which is the song that has embracing her turning 26, how she has insecurities and is okay with that. The lyrics 'My body's not a temple, more a bachelorette pad, my cups are barely a's and my teeth aren't straight' are my favourite lyrics that the star has ever written and if I am honest, the most vulnerable and relatable to her audience.
To me, Maisie Peters' is becoming her more authentic self and this new era of her music says so.
I cannot wait to see what is next and also, Maisie, if you read this can we please come to a show and also...be interviewed for the blog? (okay a big wish, but we love Florescence).
