This year, I’ve had the privilege of working with so many incredible bands and being part of some truly exciting projects. My favourite gig of 2025 so far has to be Indigo co-headlining The Grove alongside Fractures and The Wednesday Flowers. These are three bands I’ve collaborated with for quite some time, and it’s been amazing to watch their journey, from performing in small local venues to taking the stage at such a high-end venue.
Indigo are an outstanding band in every sense. Seeing how far their dedication and hard work have taken them was inspiring. Their set was phenomenal, powerful vocals paired with the impressive skill and chemistry of the entire band.
It was also Fractures’ debut gig, and they absolutely nailed it. Their performance was full of energy, featuring dynamic songs, striking vocals, and fast-paced, skillful guitar and drum work. They made a remarkable entrance into the local scene and definitely left an impression.
The Wednesday Flowers, an all-girl band I always love to watch, delivered a brilliant set filled with both popular covers and their own infectious original tracks. They’re captivating performers who know exactly how to light up a stage and connect with their audience.
This was my favourite gig of 2025 because, over the past year, I’ve had the chance to get to know these incredible people and form close friendships with them. I’ve been able to see and capture their passion for performing and creating music, and every time, their talent and energy leave me in awe.
