6 Questions with Thru It All

 .

Meet Thru It All. We sat down with them last week to discuss all things to do with music, 2025 and how they got started.

1. Can you introduce the band and tell us how you got started?

What’s up we’re Thru It All!

Nick Jordan- Singer

Andrew Lindroth- Drummer

Daniel Dew- Guitarist/Singer

Thru It All stems from a lifelong childhood friendship and musical relationship between Nick Jordan and Daniel Dew, playing in various incarnations of bands growing up together until Nick dropped out of Tahlequah High our junior year and moved to Hollywood, California. Fast forward 12-15 years later to 2020-2021; Nick moves back from LA where he had been a professional musician for over a decade, and Daniel ends up moving back home as well during the COVID-19 Pandemic craze. The friendship reunion led to the creation of “Thru It All” and the writing and recording of what would become their debut “The Irrelevant EP”. It began as a 4-piece band with Nick not only being the main singer, but also the drummer. After a busy year releasing two EP’s + touring to support them, the band decided to expand their sound, tighten up their stage presence, and overload on energy by getting a full time drummer to allow Nick to be front and center as our beautifully chaotic ADHD frontman, to sex up the crowd and incite riots when necessary... From there, Andrew was invited to a rehearsal to see how things fit after leaving his band of the last 8 years, “Goodfella.” After only a few rehearsals Andrew brought life to the band and his apparent skill and passion for the music were a huge boost to the creativity of the band during this time. His first show with us was a live recording at the legendary “Church Studio” in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Throughout this era, as the band toured supporting the release of a new single every month, the band’s lineup gradually transitioned to a three piece unit live. (Guitar, drums, and dual friendship vocals)

2. What have been some highlights/ favourite moments you have shared as a band?

Andrew: Both touring and the recording process are the times we cherish the most as a band. All three of us are incredibly close friends outside of the music, so to be able to tour the world with each other playing the songs we created and love, it truly brings out the best in each of us. Daniel: We’ve noticed at the last few shows lately, more and more of the crowd are singing the lyrics with us and moshing/jumping around and crowd surfing the whole show!!!...which wasn’t happening nearly as much at the beginning of the band… so seeing that growth as a band is very rewarding and encouraging. For me some highlights are: (In no particular order) Playing Cain’s Ballroom for the first time as a band, playing the Viper Room in LA for the first time as a band, Going live (twice) on Channel 8 Morning News in Tulsa, Performing at The Panama City Beach Spring Break Festival for over 12,000 people this last summer, and getting to spend three days in Cleveland, Ohio recording the Wounded Souls EP with Jim Wirt, one of our teenage heroes, who produced many of the 2000’s era pop-punk songs that influence us.

3. How do you feel each band member brings their own uniqueness/individual influences to the music you make together?

Not only does each member bring their own musical influences/uniqueness, but it’s the eccentric personalities each person radiates that makes the band unique, and when you combine that with the songwriting process including three of us equally, you are left with a perfect blend of what Thru It All represents. Everyone comes from similar but different backgrounds, as well as different lifestyles, but our shared love for music and the genuine friendship amongst the three of us really resonates through our music.

4. Who are your inspirations music-wise?

As you can hear in many of our songs, there are often instances where the song itself completely changes gears sonically and genre wise subverts what your ear was expecting. (in the catchiest way) From punk-rock to pop-punk to hardcore breakdowns with Daniel’s unique screams and Andrew’s surgical fills, to the catchiest of early 2000’s nostalgic alt-rock sing along type choruses, infused with a smooth transition into a hip-hop rap break with 808’s and soul/funk influenced orchestration.

Artists for example: Wutang Clan, Blink-182, Mac Miller, Sum-41, Starting Line, A Day To Remember, Turnstile, The Killers, Nirvana, My Chemical Romance, Nirvana, Incubus, Fall Out Boy, Panic! At The Disco, The All American Rejects, Outkast, A Tribe Called Quest, Kid Cudi, David Bowie, Gang of Four, Thin Lizzy, and many, many more.

5. Your band has a short film coming out soon-what can you tell us about it? What inspired the concept, and what can fans expect from the visuals and storytelling? Can you share some insight into the creative process behind it?

Yes! We wanted to do something different to promote all of our 2025 tours/shows + celebrate the release of our recent full length record “Chaos Zen” as well as our upcoming EP “The Soundtrack of Endlessly Reinventing Yourself” due in late February. The inspiration was born around the time Turnstile dropped “Glow On.” We fell in love with the music videos the band had shot to accompany that record and began floating our ideas around about a short film that could accompany a future release of ours, from there it took a little over a year for all the pieces to fall into place and we were able to roll cameras on the production of part one of our short film starting this last Christmas, and recently wrapped production this last weekend on part four of the short film!  As soon as our director/writer/editor Nick puts all the bells and whistles on this thing and sexes it up a bit in post production we’ll have a cinematic treasure for your viewing/listening pleasures!!!

6. With your upcoming tour, how are you feeling? What’s the energy like in the band right now, and how are you preparing?

Momentum for the band is at an all time high, with it both being the beginning of a new year and the start of our spring touring season. The focus on these several weeks that lie dormant before we hit the road are all about setting things up back home for the respective band members, so home life continues to operate smoothly for each us while we’re off for weeks at a time playing shows, exploring new cities and meeting fans, that way the three of us can enjoy touring life!
