November was a big month for Odd Girl Out! The team has come together with a total of five members!

Throughout this month, this team worked together to create two album reviews, two interviews,

and one artist feature! Below is a quick recap of everything we covered in November

do not forget to check out the full blog posts and keep an eye out for new content in December!

Taylor Swift- “Midnights” Review

Odd Girl Out started the month strong by reviewing the most talked about the album since its release, “Midnights” by Taylor Swift. This blog post discusses the singles “Anti-Hero” and “Bejeweled” along with reviewing the songs and their connections with mental health, past relationships, and late-night thoughts. This review offers new insight and the possibility of validating opinions regarding the mixed reaction to this world-renowned album.

Blu Eyes- “Healing Hurts” Review

Later in the month Odd Girl Out took a twist and reviewed an EP Release by Blu Eyes, an independent artist. This is the beginning to Odd Girl Out’s focuses primarily being on upcoming and independent artists! In this review, there are reviews of Blu Eyes’ songs and their relatability to mental health and relationships. Also, it also heavily discusses the musician’s possibility of going “viral” on social media and analyzes if this is Blu Eyes’ true focus with her music, giving viewers insight into what it is really like to promote and create music through social media.

5 Questions With…Sir Jude

Shortly after, Odd Girl Out added something new by interviewing another upcoming artist, Sir Judge. In this interview, Sir Jude discussed her feelings regarding her recent album “Revelations” along with her inspiration for her songwriting and vision for the album. Despite the length of this interview, one can learn a lot about Sir Jude’s background and previous music. However, you know what they say, a little goes a long way.

Meet TikTok’s Hidden Secret…Eraste

Next, Odd Girl Out did something different from an interview and choose to do an artist feature instead; choosing to interview and discuss Eraste. Eraste is an independent artist with a small following on social media. In this feature, Eraste discusses her inspiration behind her single “habits” and her favourite artists. Also, Odd Girl Out got Eraste’s personal opinions and insight about promoting music through social media and its effect on her artistry, posing an engaging read for viewers who are skeptical about “TikTok” artists.

A Day in the Life of an Artist Manager

Finally, Odd Girl Out wrapped up the month by interviewing Nicola Coaker; an artist manager who is involved with smaller artists like Merczz. In this interview, Coaker gives a shining light on the busy reality of working in the music industry; detailing everything from driving early, phone calls, studio sessions, and much more! Despite the busy reality, Coaker gives a positive outlook on her job that will be an encouraging read for any readers interested in working in the industry.
